MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Roasted Goat Cheese With Garlic Spread-Dip Categories: Cheese, Vegetables, Herbs, Dips Yield: 6 Servings 8 cl Garlic; peeled 1 tb Canola oil 1 md Red onion; thin sliced 2 tb Butter 1 tb Brown sugar 8 oz Feta cheese 1 tb White balsamic vinegar Salt & pepper 1/4 c Fresh basil; thin sliced Place garlic and oil in a pie plate. Cover and bake @ 350°F/175°C for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute onion in butter until tender and lightly browned. Add brown sugar; cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat. Remove garlic from pie plate. Spread onion mixture in pie plate; top with cheese. Place garlic over cheese. bake uncovered 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted. Mash garlic mixture with fork. Stir in balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper. Transfer to a serving vessel and sprinkle with basil. Serve warm with dippers or crackers.
