           Hot dogs
 
  Japan, Okinawa.  Mayo, ketchup, sweet relish, onion.  You can
  optionally add shredded cabbage (usually purple, cut very fine to
  almost hairs) and horseradish-mayo (colored green to look like
  wasabi).
  
  Sasebo: Horseradish-mayo (colored green to look like wasabi),
  sweet bean mashed to paste (adzuki), nappa cabbage or lettuce made
  very thin, like confetti strings.  Straw mushrooms.  Ketchup optional
  and mustard in both yellow classic or asian (comes in hotter than
  hell and mildish).  Alternate version we love:  grilled garlic with
  onions and sweet bean paste, bit of mayo (more seasoning would not be
  as good).
  
  Oh you can get just ketchup and onions and mustard if you want, but it
  would look a little weird here.
  
  Have not seen sauerkraut but have seen kimchi dogs a-plenty! (Topped
  with kimchi is a wonderful dog!).

  The other thing on the Carnival Cruise top ten list for Victoria
  that caught my attention was Japadog. It turns out to be a small
  Vancouver and Victoria based chain of food trucks, with 2 more down
  in Los Angeles.

  If you want a quick break from exploring Victoria and are in need
  of a small snack, try a JapaDog! These Japanese style hot dogs are
  sold all throughout Victoria at street food stands and restaurants,
  and you'll find an enticing combination of traditional Japanese

  So I found their website on line and they have some quirky but
  delicious sounding ideas on how to top a hotdog off. Their website
  is worth a quick look as the photos will make your mouth water. I'm
  definitely going to try out some of their ideas the next time we
