MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Saffron Rice Categories: Indian Yield: 1 Batch 2 c Basmati rice 1 Cinnamon stick 1 Bay leaf 1 ts Saffron 1 ts Salt 1 1/2 l Water Wash the Basmati rice and rinse. Put the rice in a pot with the spices and salt, and bring the water to a boil on high heat. After the water boils turn the heat down to low heat and put on the lid. Steam for 10-11 minutes. Frequently open the lid and stir the rice thoroughly. Once the rice softens, drain the remaining water from the pot.
