Bread and Butter Pudding 4 slices bread 1.5 Tbsp butter 100 ml chopped dates 1/2 cup white sugar 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 3/4 tsb cinnamon powder 3/4 tsb vanilla essence (or vanilla paste) Tear the bread into pieces and spread out in an oven dish. Sprinkle the chopped dates onto the bread. Melt the butter and pour over the bread. Mix all other ingredients together and pour over the bread. Bake at 180 C for 35 minutes. The pudding will rise during baking, so ensure the dish is big enough.
