This is a fucked up time in history to be in love. Consumer society is trying to make it easy for you, which means it must actually not be that easy. There are TV shows that will try and find you someone. Or, if you prefer, you can watch it happen to someone else. Maybe pick up some tips. I don't know; I've never watched these shows. When I hear about them, they all blend into some trite, not at all true to life experience that's called something like First Weddings. There are apps that will let you find love. Or at least a picture of it. The idea of a 'Yeah/Nah'-style catalogue of potential partners seems all a bit too awkward to someone like me. But, as one of my workmates commented, "apparently, if you do it right, you get to actually meet people." Even the ads are talking about love. Vodafone wants you to buy more data / minutes / whatever so you can find love / lose it / find it again. The SPCA has adopt-a-pet ads written like personal ads. Maybe things will work out with a cat.
