"We, Burning Giraffes" is what happens when Baroque classical taste meets
indie rock and post-rock. Slowest Runner's sound is eclectic, acoustic,
sometimes violent. The opening track at one point devolves into a chorus of
shouting over a drum fill. Yet it still feels like a 21st century
reinvention of classical styles. I highly suggest this album for anyone
willing to broaden their horizons when it comes to both rock and classical
music.
