My .plan __ ____ / /___ _____ / __ \/ / __ `/ __ \ _ / /_/ / / /_/ / / / / (_) .___/_/\__,_/_/ /_/ /_/ The .plan file. A file in your home directory on some unix box that people could access using the `finger` command. It usually contained information about, well, plans. You could say they were the precursors of blogs. Also available with finger. Finger ekollof@kollof.nl to get to my plan from any computer that has a finger client. Current plan: -------------------- 23-08-2022 - 21:54:24 New .plan entry! Well, I've really let this thing go. So here I am giving it more love. So, what's been going on? Not much. Work, home life, the usual. But I've been playing with an idea to revive an old project I used to mess with, and which even had an album release. I used to have a band called "Black Mesa Preservation Society", or BMPS for short. I had some nice musicians joining me and we played gamer-oriented Death and Thrash metal. With "Gamer Oriented" I mean we played songs which had lyrical and sometimes musical themes which originated from video games. Because we were metal, we often sided with the antagonists in games because it was fun to write lyrics from that side of the narrative. First of all I'm looking in to retracking and releasing all the old tracks. This will take some work. For some songs I would have to reverse engineer both the lyrics and the music (the first being harder since decyphering Death metal growling will take some doing). Also since I've gotten more adept at mixing/mastering and have better gear to record with, I should end up with some nice recordings. We'll see where this goes though. I'll probably also be busy with my main band called RAN, since that's also getting active. Until the next update!
