Back in the late 80's and early 90's the books had a BBS kind of look to them. For me nothing says this like an old style Gopher site, the predesessor to the World Wide Web. The only problem with Gopher sites is there is no way to let people comment on the page. At least not with out breaking things. All of the information you find on this page is grabbed from other pages on the WWW. Some is even copy and pasted for now. I will provide links to those site below and give them full credit for everything here. Just consider Jackpoint like the fictional one, a distributed peer-to-peer. While we are not a VPN or encrypted in any way, we are here to provide information those that don't have access to the real Jackpoint. Enjoy Phantom Nomad Sysop: gopher://jackpoint.ca Introduction: Shadowrun is a role playing game that was first launched in 1989 by FASA Games. It is set in a near future, fictional alternative universe where cybernetics and magic reign. Powerful mega corporations control everyday life and magic and classical fanasy races have returned to the world. I have also included a link to my DX Cluster (telnet) for my ham radio hobby. DIR Hacker News - Updated Hourly DIR quux.org Gopher Server DIR Gopher Stuff I run a DX Cluster to monitor all the spots coming in for all ham radio operators that are posting. The server is open to the public but you must register your call sign with me before you will gain access. I had to do so as I was getting thousands of login attempts every day from bots trying to hack in. It was more of an annoyance then anything. If you would like to use this DX Cluster (running DXSpider) please email me your callsign and I will email you back your password.
