Weather Situation A weak trough extends from the Kimberley to the northern Interior, whilst a high pressure ridge to the south brings south to southwesterly winds to the western Pilbara. The high pressure ridge will move south on Friday with the south to southwesterly winds easing and the trough extending back into the Pilbara from the Kimberley. Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October Mostly sunny. The chance of a thunderstorm in the east in the morning and afternoon. Winds west to northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h turning south to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures in the mid to high 30s.
