Weather Situation
A complex low pressure trough will continue to move east, contracting into
South Australia this morning. A new ridge will extend over southern WA in the
wake of the trough during today and Friday. Another weak cold front will brush
the southwest coast on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October
The chance of a thunderstorm in the southeast in the morning. Sunny afternoon.
Winds west to southwesterly 35 to 50 km/h turning southerly 15 to 25 km/h in
the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures 27 to 35.

Sunny. Winds south to southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h becoming light in the middle
of the day then becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late
afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 12 and 17 with daytime
temperatures reaching 28 to 35.

Forecast for Saturday 19 October
Sunny. Winds east to southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h tending northeast to
southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the day. Overnight temperatures falling to
between 13 and 18 with daytime temperatures reaching 32 to 38.

Forecast for Sunday 20 October
Sunny. Winds northeast to southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h becoming northeasterly 25
to 35 km/h during the morning then tending northwest to northeasterly 25 to 40
km/h during the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 17 and 21 with
daytime temperatures reaching around 40.
