Weather Situation
A complex low pressure trough will continue to move east, contracting into
South Australia this morning. A new ridge will extend over southern WA in the
wake of the trough during today and Friday. Another weak cold front will brush
the southwest coast on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October
Partly cloudy. High chance of showers near the coast east of Eyre, medium
chance elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon,
possibly severe in the east. Winds northwest to southwesterly 40 to 60 km/h
becoming southwesterly 35 to 55 km/h in the early afternoon then tending south
to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures 22
to 27.

Partly cloudy. Winds south to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h tending south to
southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon then tending northeast to
southeasterly in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and
12 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to high 20s.

Forecast for Saturday 19 October
Sunny. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending north to northeasterly
15 to 25 km/h during the morning then tending east to northeasterly during the
day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 14 with daytime
temperatures reaching around 30.

Mostly sunny. Winds northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h increasing to 25 to 40 km/h
during the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 18 with
daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 30s.
