Weather Situation A weak ridge will linger over Tasmania today, as a cold front in the south weakens and moves away. A low is deepening over South Australia, approaching Tasmania from the northwest on Friday, moving over the state during the day before moving into the Tasman Sea overnight into Saturday. A high pressure ridge develops over the state Saturday afternoon before a high travels over Sunday.
