Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system over SA will move southeast to be over eastern
Bass Strait by Friday afternoon. A high pressure system will move in from the
west to a position south of the Bight Friday night and continue to move east
over the weekend. Winds over SA will tend northerly early next week with the
high centred over Tasmania on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October
Partly cloudy. Very high chance of showers, most likely in the late afternoon
and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe with damaging winds,
large hail and possible heavy falls. Winds north to northeasterly 35 to 50 km/h
tending north to northwesterly 35 to 55 km/h in the middle of the day then
tending northwest to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h in the evening. Daytime
maximum temperatures 35 to 41.

early afternoon. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Winds west to
northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h turning south to southwesterly in the late morning
and early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 19 with
daytime temperatures reaching 20 to 27.
