Weather Situation A high pressure ridge lies across much of the state, extending from a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea. The ridge will persist for the next few days. A weak trough lies across the southeastern interior of Queensland. The trough will weaken today. A deeper trough may move east across western and interior Queensland from Friday, reaching southeastern and central Queensland over the weekend.
