Weather Situation
A trough is lingering over South Australia this morning while a low pressure
system over the Tasman Sea is moving east. A cold front is expected to deepen
and form a low pressure system over South Australia today, which will move
southeast while the front crosses New South Wales during Friday and Saturday.
After this a ridge of high pressure is forecast to extend across from the west,
bringing more settled conditions to the region.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October
Partly cloudy. High chance of showers in the far west, medium chance elsewhere.
The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe. Winds north to northwesterly 35
to 50 km/h.

35 km/h becoming northwesterly 35 to 50 km/h in the morning then turning west
to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling
to between 19 and 23 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.
