Weather Situation A trough is lingering over South Australia this morning while a low pressure system over the Tasman Sea is moving east. A cold front is expected to deepen and form a low pressure system over South Australia today, which will move southeast while the front crosses New South Wales during Friday and Saturday. After this a ridge of high pressure is forecast to extend across from the west, bringing more settled conditions to the region. Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October Mostly sunny. High chance of showers, most likely in the evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the north in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds becoming northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late evening.
