Weather Situation
A trough is lingering over South Australia this morning while a low pressure
system over the Tasman Sea is moving east. A cold front is expected to deepen
and form a low pressure system over South Australia today, which will move
southeast while the front crosses New South Wales during Friday and Saturday.
After this a ridge of high pressure is forecast to extend across from the west,
bringing more settled conditions to the region.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October
Mostly sunny. High chance of showers, most likely in the evening. The chance of
a thunderstorm in the north in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds
becoming northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late evening.

Forecast for Friday 18 October
Cloudy. Very high chance of rain, most likely in the morning and afternoon. The
chance of a thunderstorm. Heavy falls possible in the south. Winds
northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h turning northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the late
morning and early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 13 with
daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 24.

Forecast for Saturday 19 October
Cloudy. Medium chance of showers in the morning and afternoon. Winds westerly
25 to 35 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to around 10 with daytime
temperatures reaching between 17 and 22.

Forecast for Sunday 20 October
Sunny. Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light during the
morning then becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the evening.
Overnight temperatures falling to around 6 with daytime temperatures reaching
the low to mid 20s.
