Apple Media Tool Runtime Maker (1.0.1) Copyright 1994 Apple Computer, Inc. Apple Media Kit Users, For the past two months we have been working to solve the problems that you are experiencing with the Runtime Maker utility. We believe that we have fixed these problems and are preparing a new relase of Runtime Maker. Many of you have requested help with this problem so we are posting a preliminary release of the new Runtime Maker for your use. A final release of Runtime Maker will be released as soon as the last steps of the testing process are completed. Attached you will find: - A preliminary release of the new Runtime Maker 1.0.1 - Instructions for the Runtime Maker 1.0.1. Please read it carefully regarding copying the enclosed .INI file to your project directory. - A Question and Answer document about the Apple Media Kit - Also included are two 'drag-n-drop' conversion utilties: "To Apple Media Kit Movie" and "To Apple Media Kit Sound". The "Sound" utility converts sound files to WAVE format. The "Movie" utility flattens movies and makes these files data fork only. You can also use VideoFusion or Adobe Premier to convert movies to the required format for Quicktime for Windows. To convert text files for cross-platform use with Apple Media Kit, you must use the Claris XTND extension or the Easy Open extension provided with the Apple Media Tool. We appreciate your input on these problems. We are working on an update of the Apple Media Tool (and the programming environment) based on user input which we will release in the first quarter next year. Registered owners of the Apple Media Tool will receive this update in the mail when it is released. This new version will have a number of enhancements that you have requested including scrolling text fields and pictures, the ability to attach movie controllers to movies, selectable cursors and a dissolve effect. Thank you, Apple Media Kit Team .
