INTRODUCTION Banana is a nifty puzzle game where you, a mole, move around in the dirt searching for your wife and food and once you collect it all, you escape through a door to the next level! There's 105 levels of this madness and the hook is that you fall down and can't climb up unless there's a ladder nearby. Oh and there are boulders that fall on you but don't kill you and sometimes you get items to counter all the bad stuff that happened. It's cute how your wife follows you around and also protects you from "cave- ins" from boulders behind her as she stands them up too. And because you can't go up and you're invincible in a way, Banana is unique and worth a look, despite the later levels that take up more than one screen and proceed so slowly. The puzzle isn't as immediate then, and the bigger puzzles have no special ingenuity. But the first levels are wonderful. Many parts of this FAQ have been double checked albeit unintentionally(probably due to my staying up late to play this game) but there may still be problems with some moves. Seen guy have to reach girl before but... 2. PERIPHERAL STUFF On the front screen you canchange the start-level from 1 to 5x+1 where x<20. Just right-arrow increases, or if you want to solve the game quickly, left- arrow. You can also design a level. You'll have six differnt foods(strawberry, salad, open banana, closed banana, coconut/lemon, cherry) and grass, boulders, ladders, and maximum of one of each of the door, you and your wife. If you try to place a unique icon, the old one disappears. Toggle icons with to get to your power-ups. This is detailed in "items." There is no time limit. You also may change into a "superman" for some time if you get three peeled bananas. "Superman" can bust through five boulders. Pick the right ones and you will be able to finish some otherwise hard levels quickly with a huge bonus. 2-2. ITEMS You gain an item after taking an unpeeled banana. These items can make working through a level quicker, but they're not necessary for the game and I haven't always outlined good ways to make the game quicker. Still, they can save you if you're stuck. Items are: Boulder--behaves like a boulder in the game. Dynamite--explodes a boulder when placed on it. Takes a second to blow up. Ladder--places a ladder on the square in the indicated direction. Rope--goes all the way up until it hits the sky above or green ground. Here is how you accumulate items: boulder, dynamite, ladder and rope for each banana found in a level. You reset to boulder at the next level. Push
