Answering 5 questions posts for 2021 DECEMBER From: gemini://multiverse.thruhere.net/5q/202112-1.gmi > 1. 6 weeks on a ventilator with COVID, followed by long-term 40% reduced fitness for 18 months but open freedom, or no disease but 2 more years of hard lockdown? Why? 2 more years of hard lockdown. Don't want the long term effects of COVID. > 2. US to engage China over a Taiwan invasion, or US to engage Russia over a Ukraine invasion? I'm keeping out of this one, as a European. > 3. Trump as US President again for 1 term, or Mike Pence for 2 terms? No > 4. A year of Saturday dinners at your country's best restaurants, or a 3-day weekend of mind-blowingly fantasitic sex with your biggest crush? I guess the latter > 5. Work 3 8-hour days a week, retire at 50 but die at 70, or work 6 8-hour days a week, retire at 70, but live to 85? Depends on the job, really. If it's a job I enjoy, then the latter, so I'd have an overall longer life. If I don't like the job, then the former. That way, I get more overall free time in my life --- JULY From: gopher://sdf.org/0/users/christyotwisty/phlog/2021-07-Five_Questions.txt > 1. List five items you are most likely to buy at a convenience store. I don't usually go to Convenience Stores, but whenever I do, it's to occasionally treat myself with sweets, crisps, and juice. I also like to buy Magazines now and again and Newspapers with Scots/Gaelic columns. > 2. New year resolutions are common, but do you set monthly, quarterly, semi-annual personal (not career development) goals for yourself? I do mine monthly, for my game project, I layout the tasks I want done in that month. Have been thinking of doing something similar to life stuff, too! > 3. Have you ever written or read fan fiction? I'm not proud of it, but I used to really be into Klonoa and Sonic fanfiction, reading loads of stories on FanFiction.net every day. I still think they can be a good outlet for people to let out their creativity, but I now recognise how messed up some fics out there are! > 4. Whom do you miss the most? My dad and my grandmothers. My mum's side grandmother died of cancer in 2009, my dad died suddenly of a heart complication in November 2011, and my Italian grandmother died in February this year due to COVID19 complications. I miss them all very much... > 5. Who was the most famous person you shook hands with? Alex Salmond. I was at a book signing for his book, and he signed my copy of his book (This was before he turned into a creep), he shook my hand (as you might have guessed), but ended up calling me the wrong name, so I corrected him, and he gave me another copy for free with the right name signed. So that was nice, I guess.
