       I didn't buy anything today. I didn't work today either. I usually
work on Buy Nothing Day [1] since I do not participate in Black
Friday. This year, I did not work. What I did was meet with some
friends, ate leftovers with the family, went on a couple walks in
the park, hung out here and there on aNONradio, and did some domestic
       chores.

I also cleaned out the roomba and changed some of its parts out.
I find it funny when I use the shop vac to clean out the Roomba.
It's kinda like cannibalism. Not really. But I chuckle. It needed
new filters, whiskers, and battery, which had been sitting on a
shelf for about 3 weeks now. Cleaning the roomba led to cleaning
the upright vacuum and the handheld vacuum. Now our interior vacuums
       can really suck!

The UPS for the xiled rumination concentrator[2] was also swapped out.
The old unit's battery was toast so I swapped it out with a
reconditioned Cyberpower UPS I got for cheap. The old UPS is an
Eaton branded one that I've been using for years. I've swapped out
the battery multiple times and I'll probably do the same again and
put it back into circulation. That reminds me, I have another UPS
that has a battery that needs replacing, but I don't think I have a
       spare right now.

This evening, I participated in another Synth Battle Royale[3] on
aNONradio, hosted by SDF. Tonight's participants were gef, ldbeth,
me, x2180, and smj. I brought the Moog Werkstatt-01, KeyStep 37 and
Pocket Operator PO-12 (rhythm) into the xiled rumination concentrator
to see how well that would work. It's a bit cramped with all the
gear. I had the karaoke machine hooked up to the Werkstatt-01 via
VCF AUD IN to see how that would go. Here's a picture I took from
the web cam inside the concentrator.[4] I sometimes use concentrator
       for video conferencing.

Again, I used 2 headphones (earbuds and over the ear) so I can hear
from aNONradio and from my mixer. The delay makes it sound weird.
I need to find a better configuration. This should be called awkward
synth config battle royale for me since I keep having challenges with
       my configuration.

First round, I got dinged for singing a cover during my setup. No
covers during Synth Battle Royale! Once I got it going, I sang,
a goofy rendition of "Moon River" while messing with the knobs on
the Werkstatt-01. My round 1 is around 30:30.

Round 2, I still used the karaoke mic, but didn't dial in a song. I
added the KeyStep 37 to GATE IN and VCO EXP FM IN on the Werkstatt-01
and used the clock from the KeyStep for the PO-12. My levels were
all off and for awhile only going through the right channel. I also
messed with the arpeggiator on the Keystep, which still puzzles me.
I should probably read the documentation. I think I will call this
piece, "She said she wasn't where she was." It's around 01:30:45.

       The SBR M E M O R E X [5] can be found in the aNONradio archives.
I hope to some day get to a point where my configuration isn't so
burdensome and can actually focus m0ar on the music. Right now, it
is not really happening and just so awkward, but I am still enjoying
the shared experience and listening to the creative synth sounds of
the other members of the aNONradio/SDF community.

Originally, I wanted to spend time (ha!) on Buy Nothing Day to
exercise my #RightToRepair by fixing my 1U Raspberry Pi NAS. That
has not happened yet, but it will. I think I am content with how
       this day unfolded.
